Methodology
Ranks come from the Tranco list, a research-grade ranking of the world's most-visited domains that combines several traffic sources and is smoothed over 30 days, so it reflects sustained usage rather than one-day spikes. We record each tool's rank on the last day before the month and on its last day (Sep 30, 2026 → Oct 16, 2026).
Change is shown as a percentage of the starting rank, so moves are comparable between large and small tools. Moves within ±1% count as steady. Tools that share a domain with a larger product (marked †, for example GitHub Copilot on github.com) reflect that whole domain, so they are left out of the "most visited" headlines.
