How to Cancel Your Lovable Subscription (2026)
Quick answer
There is no Cancel button. To cancel, go to Workspace settings > Plans & credit usage (lovable.dev/settings/billing), select Manage on your plan card, then Downgrade to free. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then the workspace moves to Free. Only workspace owners and admins can do this, and you don't need to contact support. In the iOS app there's nothing to cancel, because App Store plans don't renew.
Before you start
- You need to be a workspace owner or admin. Other members don't see the billing options. Ask an owner to cancel if you're not one.
- Each workspace has its own subscription. If you pay for more than one workspace, cancel each one separately.
- Cancelling is not deleting. Your account, projects and published apps stay. To remove everything, delete your account instead (see the last section).
Cancel on desktop
- Open lovable.dev and sign in.
- Go to Workspace settings > Plans & credit usage (direct link: lovable.dev/settings/billing).
- On your plan card, select Manage. The Manage plan dialog opens.
- Select Downgrade to free and finish the steps.
That's the whole cancellation. Lovable has no separate Cancel button. The credits dropdown on the plan card only switches between paid credit tiers, so it can't move you to Free.
Until the billing period ends, the dialog shows Cancel downgrade instead of Downgrade to free. Select it if you change your mind and want to keep your plan.
Cancel on your phone
The Lovable mobile app has no cancel option. Open lovable.dev in your phone's browser (Safari or Chrome), go to Workspace settings > Plans & credit usage, and follow the same steps as on desktop. This works on both iPhone and Android.
Bought your plan in the iOS app? Then there's nothing to cancel. App Store plans cover one month and don't renew. Your plan card shows Managed by App Store and the date your plan ends. After that date the workspace moves to Free and you aren't charged again. These plans also don't appear under Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
What happens after you cancel
| After you downgrade to Free | |
|---|---|
| Paid plan | Stays active until the end of the current billing period (monthly or annual) |
| Monthly and rollover credits | Frozen: you can't use them on Free and they aren't refunded. If you upgrade again before they expire, you can use them again. |
| Top-up and bonus credits | Still usable on Free until they expire |
| Published apps | Stay live. Lovable may unpublish an app only after 12+ months with no visits, no owner login and no custom domain, and emails you first. |
| "Edit with Lovable" badge | If you hid it, it stays hidden until your next publish, when it comes back |
| Business features | Features such as verified email sign-up and announcement banners stop working |
Tip: if you have unused monthly credits, use them before the billing period ends. Once the workspace is on Free, they're frozen.
Refunds
Lovable's subscription fees and credits are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. If you were charged after cancelling, for example a renewal you didn't expect, contact Lovable support through the support form at lovable.dev/support with your workspace name and the charge. The support form is only available on paid plans.
Find invoices or change your card
Invoices and payment methods live in the Stripe billing portal. Go to Workspace settings > Plans & credit usage, select Manage, then Invoices & payments. Use Edit billing information to change your billing name, address or tax details.
Leave Lovable completely
A workspace on Free has no subscription to cancel. To remove your account and its data, delete your account from Lovable's settings. Do this only after you've cancelled any paid workspaces and exported anything you want to keep.
